Oodles of One
The concept of Oodles of One was developed as a therapeutic tool to describe the concept of parts to my clients that is creative, playful and understanding. One represents Self-Energy, our Spirit, our Soul—the essence of who we are. I imagine One to be compassionate, curious, and calm. Adding clarity to Oodles requires patience because Oodles can be quite busy and energetic. I see One as having a playful nature that can relate to and support the Oodles. Oodles represent the different parts of who we are. The complexity and variety of aspects that define each of us. Oodles are more than emotion—they can represent skills, beliefs, roles and possibly a younger part of themselves that had to endure difficult and challenging situations. Oodles are so complex—sometimes they can complement each other but other times they can contradict each other. Causing great confusion and distress. My hope for the Oodles of One is to provide a framework to allow for self-exploration and understanding the complexity of life.
